Back in 2001, Joshua 'Iz' Michaels decided to dust off his rarely used C++ alias for a two-track missive on Music For Freaks, the now sought-after I/O EP. Here, it gets a worthy re-press. Both tracks are typical of the period in which they were recorded and released, but have also lasted the test of time rather well. A-side "Sure" is a brilliantly trippy, "left coast" style affair, with Michaels wrapping watery electronics and eccentric samples around a bumping, sub-bass driven groove. Flipside "Angie's F*cked" is similarly hazy and dubbed-out, albeit with bolder electronics, snappier beats and a more hypnotic, 'locked in' feel.
