Acid Pauli is back with another three-track EP on the label he co-manages with friend and collaborator Nico Stojan. This EP, self-effacingly titled 'Had to get rid of some Shit', showcases Martin Gretschmann’s dancefloor prowess yet again. 'Dancing In The Trunk' is a hyped-up loopy banger - minimal in instrumentation but fully psychedelic in execution. 'Goran Utan' has a deeper, darker edge, with a tension that will tighten the grip on many dancefloors. 'Shakmat, but happy' appears in 'Pauli's Psychedelic Breakfast Take 9' and is a slow-building, loop-based groover, eventually opening up to reveal tinges of acid.

Sammy Massamba's "Azali" originally came out in 1990. The afrobeat artist's sound is shockingly potent, fusing his roots with disco and boogie to create the stuff party dreams are made of. The song has just the necessary edge to make a classic, with the vocals leading the way through the tune beautifully. "Birika" is a slower jam, but no less bold with its keyboard brass and choice guitar solo. Aroop Roy jumps on the flip to edit "Azali", stretching out a touch and adding a little subtle drum machine jack to the beat. It's tastefully done, keeping the vibe on the original intact.

Purist Berlin party and label Away Music is starting a new vinyl series entitled Reissued. It will focus on putting out Move D & Pete Namlook tracks that were previously only available on CD and stand as some of electronic music’s most innovative pieces. The German pair were ambient pioneers who explored and intertwined psychedelic synthscapes, deep house and techno, future jazz and downtempo on Namlook’s cult Fax Records. Over the course of more than twenty hugely prolific years, the pair put out 24 albums, all of which have stood the test of time. The first limited edition EP features three tracks, two of which come from their Live In Heidelberg 2001 album, and one from their three-part Stranger album series in 2010.
