Acid Pauli then take on remixing Modular Project's 'Leaving', coupling glitchy vocal loops and pulsating synths together with a hypnotic groove to create a trippy minimal roller. Closing out the e.p. Tiger & Woods add their trademark touch to Lele Sacchi's 'Dreaming Won't Do', focusing the track around the exuberant piano melodies whilst manipulating the vocal sample into a percussive snare element to give a distinctive feel to the remix.

Jonathan Kaspar has been making left of center dance music for some years, releasing on labels such as Crosstown Rebels, Objektivity, Pets Recordings or Kompakt's KX. Here, the Cologne-based DJ and producer provides three tracks that serve as a reminder that dance music doesn't have to be one dimensional. Opener 'Mera' starts out along a shuffling, groove-heavy path before various sound elements creep in, culminating with a hummed vocal full of mystery and magic. The track appears here in two versions, with the 'Strip Down' getting deeper into the drums for a full rhythm-frenzy workout. Both tracks are perfect sunrise music, as is 'Weiss'. Although ostensibly having more of a straight up dancefloor approach, the track's low slung groove slowly reveals itself over its nine minutes into a spaced out cosmic journey.

Originally recorded in February and March 1981 and released by fabled Japanese avant-garde label Better Days (home of Ryuichi Sakamato's debut album, Yasuaki Shimizu's Kakashi, Colored Music self-titled LP and many more) MKWAJU is the fruit of the collaboration between Takada's crew and world-famous composer/musical director Joe Hisaishi, the man behind most of of Hayao Miyazaki's Studio Ghibli anime soundtracks and over 100 other films scores, including Takeshi Kitano's Sonatine, Hana-Bi, and Kikujiro. The ensemble's transcendental wonder is, in fact, the first-ever Midori Takada album and the first-ever Joe Hisaishi-produced album. Historic.

Elliot Adamson knows how good he is, which is equally as daunting as it is impressive. I’ve known him since he was the eager beaver Barman at a place I’d play regularly in my hometown, who used to try and stick his demos under my nose, and now he seems poised for world domination with a who's who of the worlds biggest DJs singing his praises. I’m so pleased I listened to those demos when I did. Elliot has a startling breadth and depth of taste for someone of such tender years (although to be honest, people only mention other peoples youth when they feel like they’re getting old themselves).
