Those mysterious re-edit rodents are back again, bringing muchos music on a serious stereo scorcher. The crew start the party with a bright eyed bomb on the A-side, serving up a serious refix of a jazz-funk killer with the maximum panache. Spiraling synth riffs, breezy guitar and a rolling 4/4 keep the rave crew locked in, while occasional laser fire, hands in the air vocals and a squelching bass sound offer the kind of fist pumping interludes that leave the punters coming back for more. Over on the B-side another bushy tailed banger keeps the funk on the front foot, shuffling as it does through swooning strings, chicken-picked guitars, walking bass and squirming vocal sleaze. Hot stuff!

Safe Trip is taking one final deep dive into the warm waters of Italian dream house with Welcome To Paradise Volume 3, the concluding chapter in the label's journey through the previously overlooked world of one of dance music's most vibrant and influential underground movements. While the influence of dream house continues to echo through the ages, the style was at its peak between 1989 and '94, when producers across Italy delivered a high volume of loved-up, wavy and occasionally blissful productions that fused contemporary deep house tropes - most notably from Chicago, New York and New Jersey - with elements borrowed from ambient, jazz and Balearica. It's this six-year period that provides the focus for Welcome To Paradise Volume 3, which draws together a spine-tingling mixture of sought-after classics, unheralded gems and little-known delights from the original Italian dream house movement.

Arthur Baker and Murk are two of the most iconic brands in electronic music. Arthur Baker’s career started in Boston, and then hit its stride while he was living in New York City in the 80s and 90s, and he now spends much of his time in Miami. Oscar G and Ralph Falcon aka Murk were born, raised, and lived their entire lives in Miami. More hot shit from the Fake Love camp - intent on bringing lost classics from the global disco, boogie and soul village to our receptive head spaces; the previous three volumes have all introduced some sterling stuff from all over the world and from the last thirty years of disco dancing. Three odd-ball disco / boogie / soul tracks that are highly infectious but head-turningly original. There's a mixture of languages and dialects on offer, leaving me scratching my head as to the origins of these mid 80s jams but enjoying them nonetheless. Wherever Fake Love are mining their source material from, it's of exceptional quality. Recommended as always!

Hugo Capablanca has been measured in his approach to releasing music of his own. While his label continues to grow in stature, fresh Capablanca material doesn't come along every day, and this salvo on Disco Catorce is a welcome fix. Lipeli's "Paper Sound Dub" of "Lap Dance" is a killer restrained roller that leans towards heavily percussive disco and bug-eyed 70s sound FX. "Track 2" finds Capablanca getting heavy with the signal processing, creating a right racket in the process. Alessandro Adriani's remix of "Dance Less" is a lean, menacing workout of wave-laced techno, and then YPY freaks the end of the record out with the "Exp Ver" mix of "Top Less".

Discodromo's playfully titled CockRing d'Amore edit series hits its fourth chapter with three hypnotic, transcendental edits from respected Osaka groove sculptor and selector Mori Ra. Three unnamed tracks, the focus should be strictly on the soul at play... The sweeping cinematica and narrative of "Track 1", the glistening cascades and layered vibraphone elements of "Track 2" and the lolloping, Nordic-feeling chugger finale.
