Description:

Moff & Tarkin's second Lagaffe installment marks the label's 8th vinyl release. The release sports three original tracks from the Austrian-based Icelander and a remix from label boss Jonbjorn. The record starts of with the track 'Buzz Lightyear', who flies us off out of the atmosphere filled beginning into the depths of the spacey synths, delays and feedback.

Description:

The second instalment in the Tale of Tales series brings with it four more reasons to be cheerful. Dirt Crew regular Felix Leifur steps up first with "Eitt", a lovably loose, dusty and occasionally wonky trip into blazed jazz-house territory. The jazzy mood continues on Toy Tronics duo COEO's rolling deep houser "Clouds", before Moony Me peppers a bustling, organic-sounding groove with sparkling synth refrains and drowsy chords on the thrillingly hazy "Soul Mirage". Sune opts for a far more bustling, chunkier beat pattern on skewed disco-house caper "I'll Be Right Back", which features some superbly cut-up and rearranged vibraphone solos alongside punchy horn samples and a brilliant post-breakdown drop.

Our second vinyl release features four tracks from our own Icelandic Moff & Tarkin. Big Mango Bangers gives us a good taste of the fresh style that the Vienna based producer has to offer. The A side has two great danceable house tracks, "Naked" and "I Got This" that should rock any good dancefloor with some superb sample action. The B side really ties up the record and features "Mutual Distraction" a house track with an 80's vibe and "Skutla" a synthony which could really break up and reset the mood as a DJ tool. Each tracks has a place and the record is a great example of the diversity we try to encourage.

This year we have reached our long term goal as a label which was to expand our releases into the wax department. We feel like we've done a good job bringing upcoming and original local talent to the surface so far and it is only fitting that our first vinyl release is done by the Icelandic duo David & Hjalti. The duo has been busy with the production since their arrival from Manchester and have played a number of great live sets underlining their skills as producers. We feel that this release is the high standard we set ourselves before going vinyl and that this is just a small first step in a fruitful beginning for the producers David & Hjalti.
