Mysterious DJ Surph up next for OYE Edits series: run by the respected Berlin record store in Prenzlauer Berg, with previous resplices coming courtesy of Marcel Vogel, Hade and Jonny Rock. There's much to enjoy on this EP - starting with a rearrangement of some loungey-soul/funk on the ripper "Final Statement" (featuring a killer brass section), some Disco Halal style oddball exotics in the form of "Kazi Kazi" and the EP's second "Drum Tool" which boasts deeply meditative and hypnotic polyrhythms in the mix.
