Description:

Slow and smooth build up with an intense but mellow peak that just goes on and on. It fills you with empathy and intense sensation heightening. SWIM smoked a joint halfway through and melted into the couch. It’s perfect for a rolling party with a group of friends, though SWIM imagines it would be great for a proper party too. Sometimes SWIM felt like dancing, but spent most of the time staring into space. This is really nice, intense, smooth and mellow. Get ahold of these if you get the chance!

‘Multiverse’ is a word used to describe an infinite group of disparate universes including the ones currently inhabited by humans. A myriad of realms that sit side by side, undetected by our senses, surround us at any given moment. The multiverse theory was first confirmed by tracking leakage of electromagnetic waves filtering from one dimension into the next. When these waves were transposed to fit into frequencies audible by the human ear, the recordings were studied by a team of scientists, who found that they contained rhythmic elements that resembled a speech pattern of an alien language. After years of research and manipulation the audio was found to be a looping recording of an alien voice speaking the words: ‘IDWT005; coming soon to a universe near you.’

Description:

The Alishan Forest Railway is a 86 km network of narrow-gauge railways running through the forests of Alishan Mountain in Chiayi County, Taiwan. During the Spring months, the iconic red train passes through an endless array of cherry blossoms and small, untouched villages. This peaceful scene is set in contrast to the stories told by locals, of wandering spirits seen deep in the forest. The spirits are believed to be the lost souls of the 32 passengers, who perished in the tragic derailment of the train in 1981. Burn a candle in remembrance when you play this record at the club.

Description:

Zona Del Silencio or the Zone of Silence is an area deep in the Mexican desert. It is the home of several rare, mutant species of animals (including the purple cactus and a malformed version of the desert tortoise). The area’s name derives from an odd anomaly that prohibits radio waves from transmitting inside the zone. When asked about the strange phenomena, the locals invariably reply that they do not see strange things in the desert, only strange people. Play this record three times and the IDWT gang will appear in your mirror and smoke you out.

In Dust We Trust are back with their second 12” of 2017. This time the two entities, Chaos In The CBD and Jon Sable, offer one side each. On side A, ‘False Awakening’ by Chaos In The CBD attacks your brain with open, spacious pads and synthesised melodies that float on top of a dark and hypnotic percussive groove ? the kind that might make you miss your stop because you’ve found yourself staring into space. On the flip side you have ‘Scumbag Unity’ by Jon Sable, a loose dreamy track with dubbed-out pads and vocals that glide between a drum machine groove. This marks the second collaboration between Jon Sable and Kroba of Archie Pelago, who plays the woozy basement-style saxophone that keeps your consciousness hooked.
