Momo Joseph didn't have a huge number of releases to his name back when he was a recording artist in the 80s, but that simply made his Love Africa Soul 7" even more of a holy grail find. Now Kalita have done the right thing and got hold of the release for a much needed repress, and it's highly likely this jam will become a staple for anyone with a taste for African grooves of all shapes and sizes. "Love Africa Soul" has it all - infectious brass stabs, limber musicianship, and Joseph's killer vocal. On the B side of this reissue "Cameroun Airline" gets a tasteful edit treatment from the trusted hands (and ears) of Nik Weston from Mukatsuku Records.
