In these troubled times, a spiritual squirrel has landed in the woods to try and spread some peace and harmony amongst the creatures of the night. With a world turned upside down, we all need some life affirming music to get us back into the groove and on the floor, and the most life affirming shizzle I can think of is some vintage disco house! From the filtered depths of Detroit or Paris, the A-side erupts into an assault of walking bass, slamming 4/4 and huge piano vamps! Flip it and rip it for another disco hit laced with hot horns, big brass and a conga led spiritual break. Those mysterious re-edit rodents are back again, bringing muchos music on a serious stereo scorcher. The crew start the party with a bright eyed bomb on the A-side, serving up a serious refix of a jazz-funk killer with the maximum panache. Spiraling synth riffs, breezy guitar and a rolling 4/4 keep the rave crew locked in, while occasional laser fire, hands in the air vocals and a squelching bass sound offer the kind of fist pumping interludes that leave the punters coming back for more. Over on the B-side another bushy tailed banger keeps the funk on the front foot, shuffling as it does through swooning strings, chicken-picked guitars, walking bass and squirming vocal sleaze.
