「ジャパニーズハウスの先駆的プロデューサーShinichiro Yokota がニューアルバム「Tokonoma Style」から 3曲入りのシングル・カット「Time Lapse EP」を、アムステルダム発のドメスティック・レーベル〈Sound Of Vast〉からリリース！全曲Soichi Terada監修のもと制作された12曲入りのニューアルバム「Tokonoma Style」は、1990年代初頭に実際に使用していたAKAIのオールドサンプラー S1100やKORG M1、PROPHET-5などビンテージシンセサイザーを駆使し、アジアンテイストが全面的に押し出された作品だ。収録曲はディープハウスだけでなく、若きShinichiro Yokotaが特に影響を受けたテクノポップ、ファンク、ヒップホップなど様々なジャンルを落とし込みながらも、彼の持ち味である甘いメロディやポジティブなエネルギーを昇華した意欲作となっている。」

Tokyo’s DJ Sodeyama returns as The People In Fog this June, delivering his new album under the alias, ‘1977’, first time in eight years via Sound Of Vast. Yoshifumi Sodeyama better known to most as DJ Sodeyama has been a driving force in the Japanese underground electronic music scene for many years now, over the past decade and a half he’s been releasing his techno material via the likes of Nina Kraviz's трип, Dynamic Reflection, his own Arpa Records and more. Here though Sodeyama shifts focus to his The People In Fog guise with his new album, the alias was started in 2013 and is a project based on house grooves and unique beats. Leading on the package is 'Friendly Tears' which features yet another leading figure in the house scene, Dekmantel regular Tom Trago, as you'd expect from such an impressive array of artists we're treated so soul drenched house driven by swinging organic drums, infectious funk licks and hooky synth lines before the 'Chunkless Mix' strips things back a little, laying focus solely on the 80's tinged synth work, delayed vocal murmurs and minimalistic percussion.'On The Floor' then rounds out the package, retaining a similar aesthetic with choppy guitar melodies, penetrating bass stabs, crunchy rhythms and resonant arpeggio synths ebbing and flowing dynamically throughout.

A1, "Sunshineset" has a subtle vocal and synth giving a perfect musical balance to the track. While listening to it, we can we imagine the scenery of sunset and sunrise created by the sound. This is indeed an amazingly powerful piece of music. A2, "Ganduri" means "thoughts" in Romanian. As the title suggests, this artistic composition is probably about his deep thoughts and realizations of music and life. For the B1 side, we have "What Do You" sounding like his typical made for dance floor' minimalistic tool with the accomplishment of hi-hat modulation falling into a perfect groove.
