Description:

Not only is mike "father of the year", but he also has records. Deep crates, as they say. Mike Feel Love will keep the chin scratchers at bay for a while, seeing as the original track has zero internet presence. It will also keep the dancers happy. A scrappy little edit keeping the sloppy instrumentation in tact , because it's the best part of the song. Drums fall out of time , or drop out altogether. The synth arps fall out of synch which makes you wonder if that's an arpregiator, or some maniac playing live. The other side is a very old edit mike dusted off and is guaranteed to make the chin scratchers take a bathroom break- seeing as it is a top 40 hit from the 70s. Which doesn't mean it's not a burner.

Now that everyone's warmed up and ready for it, the next DJ drops some Underground Real Shit which even gets a nod from the high brow DJ squad in the corner. The twelve people there lose their shit. Great night had by all.

Who would've thought one of the first female skateboarders and a psych rock singer would spawn a house music prodigy? If you've seen RA's Real Scenes LA docko, then you might've noticed Sage casually rolling some 'herbs' while being interviewed, so maybe it's not hard to fathom after all... These tracks are not one bit spaced out though, they're all sharp, layered, banging house tracks. Like his previous EPs on Spring Theory and Huxley's No Idea's Original, Sage somehow manages to keep things exciting while using very traditional house structures. I guess it's all in the detail.
