Originally released on Chicago’s Guidance imprint in 1996 this record put the Glasgow producers firmly on the deep house map with it’s soulful blend of sparse beats, emotional pads and funk-laden fat bass-lines. Re-mastered and re-cut with care and love, this release still sounds contemporary and yet retains that special vibe from the time it was created. A true House Music Classic.

Having recently impressed with a trio of Peak Hour remix 12" singles, Tom Moulton style "disco mixer" Mike Maurro turns his attention to two lesser known cuts from The Salsoul Orchestra's eponymous 1975 debut album. On the A-side, he deftly extends "Tale of Three Cities", making the most of the original track's sumptuous groove, impeccable instrumentation (think twinkling electric piano, jazzy guitar solos, and so on) and soaring Ron Baker orchestration. On the flip, he extends "Tangerine" even further, making the most of the hi-hat heavy rhythm track, flanged funk guitars, twittering flute lines, life-affirming choral vocals and snaking saxophone lines. Like the A-side, it's a sugary-sweet dancefloor treat.

Especially the track "In Dreams" followed us around for months. Humming it in the subway, singing along in the car. Many dreams later we found out that our friend and fellow Hamburger Stefan Marx also loves the song and even named an art show after it. Coincidence? Surely not, so together we made the plan to release "In Dreams" on vinyl. Luckily Tomemitsu himself was very happy with the idea and even allowed RSS Disco to remix the song. The notorious DJ and production trio upped the tempo to head-spinning 99bpm, recorded additional drums & bass and added several minutes of pleasure. Finally, the two tracks will be released on vinyl for the first time. Screen-printed records, including a poster in a clear sleeve.

For those of you wondering what Adesse Versions was doing at our Heist Boiler Room this summer in London, the answer is here. The Push it along EP for Heist is Adesse Versions first appearance on our label and features 4 stunningly raw and warm originals, and an amazing remix by New York's ambassador of funk: Ge-Ology, together with multi-instrumentalist Marc de Clive-Lowe on keys. We've been playing this EP over the course of the last few months and it's been getting great response, so we're happy to finally share it with you.

'Gotta act to react' drives on a saturated bassline, a hypnotizing guitar lick and some seriously loose hi-hats, but really delivers once those hard to place filtered hits come in. 'Pollo con Pollo' is potentially Maurits' most clear attempt at a straightforward groove, with a lovely dreamy guitar loop running throughout the track. The B- side gets nice and weird with 2 versions of Intermezz(l)ow, the one being a lovely textured interlude and the other a rough drum workout built around the same theme. and he came up with a great dubbed out acid-tinged flip of 'Gotta act to react'. This EP really shows Nachtbraker's steady rise and will most likely take him out of the shadows he so enjoys, into headline territory and we're glad to support him in this journey.

Winston ‘Shadow’ Bailey (born 4 october 1941) is a calypsonian from Trinidad and Tobago. He was born in Belmont, a suburb of Port of Spain in Trinidad, but grew up in Les Coteaux, Tobago, with his grandparents. He began to sing at a very early age and he wanted to be a singer although his grandfather told him he must be a lawyer. We are very proud to start a collaboration with the living legend. Since february 2016, we have spoken a lot with him to explain our reissue project and also with his son. Unfortunatly he is now very old and very sick and a few months ago he was hospitalized. He's now better with the care from his family and he received help from his friend to manage his musical rights. So we start with this awesome album ‘Sweet Sweet Dreams’ and we will release more musical gems from the Mighty Shadow in the future.
