Fellow outsiders on the inside of the house of house, Israel’s finest Red Axes take the first turn, coaxing the cosmos out of the original and allowing the bewildering vocal samples to lead the way through waves of more than pleasurable cosmic tension. Soon, with the timing just right, feet to pedals and strobe to hand, the pair unleash a series of distorted guitar licks that blow dust off the stacks, even throwing in a sharp blast of their trademark surrealist vocals for extra freaky FX. On the flip, Marvin and Guy zone out and hone in on the original’s EBM-indebted elements to contribute a trippy, wave-riding electro rework that oscillates irresistibly. More hot-to-trot edits from Most Excellent Unltd's 7" series. As usual, legendary New York scalpel fiend Danny Krivit is at the controls (under the now familiar Mr K alias, of course). A-side cut "1 2 3" boasts Krivit's edit of an obscure, unreleased acetate mix by Walter Gibbons of a jaunty funk number rich in military style drum fills, mazy electric organ solos and bold bass guitar riffs. Over on the flip you'll find "My Sweet Summer Suite", a drum-heavy workout that seems to be built out of elements of a number of low-slung disco and funk tunes. The clipped, loopy groove - as previously used on a number of Krivit's other edits - is loaded with lots of extra percussion and some trippy, Amazonian flute motifs.

Powder drops her signature snaking rhythmic trysts over "Barreras", while "Cuando Rocio Dispara Sus Flechas" benefits from an abstract, ambient reworking from Suzanne Kraft. Hatchback takes to "Posmeridiano" with a delicate touch, all lingering 80s synth motifs in a beatless reverie, and Zavoloka lays the cinematic intensity on heavy with the icy strains of "Ukraina".

The Romanian producer explores his more positive side on opener "Start Get Yourself", a clever combination of sweaty, jacking machine drums and fluid, watery and downright dreamy electronics that runs for eight mesmerizing minutes. This comes through in spades on Take You To A Secret Place, where the title track comes marching out atop a deadly bassline that will cut through any mix to get the people freaking out. Kuniyuki Hard takes a daring approach that slows the track down to a creep and emphasises space and tension. The Angophora version is even more drastic, seemingly stripping all the recognisable elements of the track out and leaving behind a plaintive thread of ambient instrumentation.

The A side starts off with 'Hitch'. A warm and dusty groover driven by rhodes, a rubbery bassline and a thudding kick. A lovely string piece in the middle of the track slowly builds up to the break for it to return to the head nodding groove soon after. 'Pigs in Blankets' sets the pace a little slower, but the funk goes on. The track incorporates 80's style samples with some excellent synth and chord work. Starting on the B side Harry takes it up a notch with 'Nemoto', which will be a definite stomper for the dance floor. Finally, to ease things off, STS-136 (Final Call) comes in at a slow 88 bpm pace as a perfect closure to the EP. Dreamy pads, piano licks and a calming marimba melody combined with a beat which feels like a warm blanket will make you wander off for a moment...

Both tracks here are classics dancefloors tunes , nothing rare , just favourite tunes that Alex and Stephane played for many years .On the A side the TWO TONS version is much longer than the original, and remastered for a full effect on the dancefloor. We love this tune so much, we played it a lot already and its still rocking so we thought we share it with you on a fat 12inch for more disco soul gospel pleasure.The B side is an amazing track from SEAWIND that everybody who is into jazz funk or latin jazz with vocals will dig it. This version is different than the original, we kept only the more 'dancefloor friendly ' parts and we extended the beginning and end of the track with only drum rhythmic reprogrammed for mixing easily in your sets with other tunes.

On the A side we have an early UK vocal house tune produced by the She PROJECT outfit and that came out only on an album in 1991. Never released on a 12 inch before "Mainsqueeze" edit by Alex is longer than the original and more“dancefloor”orientated with extended parts and an amazing mastering to feel comfortable to play out and loud. on the B side you will find an incredible instrumental soulful deep house track from 1991 produced by T Tauri New York duo. Extended from the original tapes and mixed with unreleased versions, Stephane Attias version is a 9min 21 extended dancefloor journey into the deepness of New York early house music sounds.

Coming from the sound system scene in Geneva, Androo began to produce 80-90’s infused digital dub as a teenager. His interest in jazz, new wave, dub and house gently collide in his studio; a place he sees as a laboratory of experimentation here everything is mixed, dubbed and recorded live at the console. With this first EP release on Second Circle Androo's music reveals a desire to avoid categorisation whilst displaying a clear love for percussive rhythms and emotive melodies. Big Tip!

'C60 Lato A' sees the crew pluck a couple of killers off a well worn Cosmic tape, leave them out in the sun a little too long then stick them back together with an experimental blend of UHU and fufu. Springy bass, spangled brass and mangled electronics make for a motherlode of funk, fried just long enough to make the walls melt. Bendy.... Over on the B-side the crew come through with a little bath-salt boogie, pitched down and loved up for all the slow dancers and romancers out there. Strutting like a stoned fox, 'Get Serious' wraps rubber-limbed bass around propulsive percussion, gets hooky with the horns then slaps you silly with its x-rated synth-smut.
