What we can say about Take Away 001 is that "Freak Hodja" is a glorious disco number with the perect balance of Arabic vocalism - a blend that is unfortunately not heard too often around these parts. "Roki" is faster, nuttier, and focusses more on the percussion elements, a zesty, freaky blend of drums and funked-out samples, while "Syfilis" is an absolute crowd-pleaser - a tune that you'll be singing along to without knowing a word or its meaning (unless you speak Arabic, of course).

With this release, Echochord welcomes back an old friend. Resoe released a fine album on the Danish imprint back in 2011, before leaving to concentrate on establishing his Baum Records label. He slips straight back into the groove on A-side "Ecto", pairing crispy, crunchy drums and toasty chords with dub techno influenced riffs. The dustier, more distorted "Mocto" sounds like a late night, outer space re-imagining of the A-side, while "Morphing" is a metallic tech-house cut of the type that Swag used to release in great quantities back in the early 2000s.
