On the flip, there's a wonderful gamelan workout on Nu Guinea Aquarium's truly breathtaking rework that's just made for drifting. Finally there's some smooth laid-back disco vibes, '80s style on "Der Stern, Der Nie Vergeht (Domenique Dumont mix)" and that boogie baseline with those pan-pipes work with each other in perfect harmony.

Floorplan is already well known as Robert Hood's house, disco, funk and gospel outlet, which this year evolves into a family affair with co-production alongside his daughter, Lyric. 'Victorious' will be the second Floorplan album and follow-up to 2013's 'Paradise' which spawned 'Let's Ride, 'Baby Baby' and the massive 'Never Grow Old'. Set to replicate the success of 'Paradise', 'Victorious' will be released in June. To precede it, the single released at the end of April is comprised of the bumping house groove of 'Music' (which received it's first global airing on B.Traits' BBC Radio 1 and 1Xtra show in February) and the disco rotations of 'Tell You No Lie'.
Both tracks are exceptionally infectious, with tough beats, glorious vocal reprises and sure not to disappoint.

Uber's latest offering is a sublime 5 track ep from French producer Shelter. Sailing On A Black sea is a drifting piece of ambient electronica. Late night stargazing on the deck with the waves gently lapping on the shore. Sad Beach continues with the layered textures with a little more of a percussive feel. through the Desert Land is shimmering mesmerising journey through the dunes with loose congas soft guitars and a hypnotic Jews Harp. Seaport theme continues the coastal vibrations but with a touch of bounce and uplifting choral vocal stabs and louche pads. Finally Water Plain closes the journey with kalimbas and xylophonic melodies and the contining theme of phosphoescent seas and soothing synth sounds. Over half a year has passed since Loz's last outing on Brooklyn's Razor N Tape but he's back on a solo tip with this 4 tracker of slightly deeper and more synth-driven cuts than we’ve been used to this year from the man. Slap Dancer sets the tone with punchy drum & sample hits, easily the most club oriented of the bunch. Duplicity sees Loz back on that slightly funkier sound we have come to know of recent times, but with a little added dustiness. Flavour adds a little extra sprinkling of dust with it's rolling drums and chords - proper chillin' basement tackle. Dan Davies aka Ossia is a mainstay of the Bristol scene. He runs labels like Fuck Punk, No Corner and Peng Sound, and he’s a member of Young Echo. His Blackest Ever Black debut triumphantly grafted the industrial experimentalism of Richard H Kirk onto West Country bass culture. This, his second Berceuse Heroique, goes deepest yet ? pithier but more widescreen, with fresh touches of jungle and bashment to its dread spirituality. The dubs in particular are a bleak treat.
