"My Kind of Future" is a pleasingly trippy, forthright affair, which builds from a swirling start into a muscular, Italo-disco inspired dancefloor smasher. Prins Thomas provides a trademark Diskomiks on the flip, pushing the track further towards rubbery dub disco territory. While still formidably dancefloor friendly, it boasts the Norwegian's usual trippy effects and trademark rhythmic swing.

DJ Steve first came to our attention in 2011 via Tim Sweeney, who discovered him quite by chance DJing in the Italian seaside town of Tropea. Sweeney, on vacation in the area, was so impressed with Steve he passed him his card, telling him to call him if he ever made it to New York. Some time later, DJ Steve did make it to New York, called Sweeney and turned up at the Beats In Space studio, barely speaking any English but with a pile of “DJ Steve special cuts”, white labels and acetates, and laid down an extended mix - “Italian style!”. Then, nobody ever really heard from him again. Fast forward to Berlin 2013, and the mix had become a staple at the after hours of a small group of friends, including Paramida, who would soon start Love On The Rocks. They called it “the DJ Steve experience”.

Alma Negra is a Swiss collective that consists of four musically driven friends, the Figuiera Brothers Dersu & Diego whose roots are established firmly in their Cape Verdian heritage, Dario with his half and half Portuguese/Italian mix and finally Mario with Spanish roots. They are all passionate diggers who love playing music from all over the world, something that's evident in their productions as well. Encompassing Jazz, African and Latin sounds to Soul, funk, Disco, House and even Techno. As far as inspiration goes they mention Donald Byrd, Fela Kuti and Theo Parrish. Digger's Workouts, Part 3 is the final release in the series and continues where the first two volumes left us but that's not all, included is also a remix by the hot duo Rainer Trueby & Corrado Bucci present TRUCCY.

Compassion Crew fires up Windows ’95 for the three-pronged "Habitue". The hardy Dubliner stats gun blazin on "Habitue I", a truly frantic track with squealing saxophone and slamming kick, setting any dancefloor alight with its incendary nature. "Hatitue II" doesn't let up, with relentless swirling fx engrossing the mix as another slamming beat powers on. Both tracks possessing a wild spirit that should do wonders in a club environment. Finally, "Habitue II" takes a different approach, ethnic vocals announcing the track while spiritual conga lines can be heard in the background. Breaking down into a very celestial, very meditative track which submerges the listener in a wash of percussion and delicate keys. Exceptional stuff as always from the Compassion Crew.

The Is It Balearic? train just keeps on rolling as Coyote proffers up even more refined grooves from the heart of the dreamy island dance. "Deep Italian" channels the spirits of classic sensual deep house that clearly nods to the likes of Vibraphone Records for inspiration, while "Fresh Hope" creates a more bewildering experience with interloping melodies and a more insistent beat underneath. "Take Me Back" uses plucked string motifs to weave its own enchanting message, while "Long Board" gets a more plush line in synths to work to round the EP out.
